Payroll tax website improvements now live

Check out the redesigned homepage and clearer paths to more detailed information.

The payroll tax section of the Revenue NSW website is undergoing significant improvements based on customer feedback.

Our aim is to better support businesses to understand payroll tax complexities and how to correctly calculate their payroll tax liability.

We are delivering

1. More detailed information

We are updating all content and including:

  • more in-depth information
  • real-world examples
  • instructional flowcharts, and
  • extra topic pages to give you a deeper understanding of complex payroll tax situations.

2. Clearer guidance on how to apply revenue processes

We have improved instructional guidance on areas of key risk to make it easier for your business to comply with legislation.

Legal amendments are now highlighted at the top of the relevant page to ensure you are up to date with important changes.

Case summaries, Rulings and Commissioner’s Practice Notes are clearly linked to the relevant topic for easy access.

3. Streamlined website navigation

Website navigation is being streamlined with:

  • reorganised pages
  • clearer pathways to relevant content, and
  • a simplified homepage so you can find the information you need quickly.

We have also made the Payroll Tax Online log in link easier to find.

4. Improved search functionality

We are enhancing the on-page search function and our search engine results to make it faster for you to find the right information.
